Registraation:

Families can still register their child for school and submit Out of Area Requests while buildings are closed due to COVID-19. Here are the steps to follow:

You must attach a scanned copy or picture of proof of residence (Power or Water bill), Nova Scotia Health Card and your child’s birth certificate (for Pre-Primary and Primary registration only).

Out of Area Requests

The Out-of-Area process for the 2020-2021 school year will begin on Tuesday, April 14 at 8:00 am and close on Monday, April 27 at 4 pm.
As a result of school buildings being closed due to COVID-19, Out-of-Area requests will only be submitted electronically through the HRCE website: https://www.hrce.ca

The online Out-of-Area Request form will be live starting at 8:00 am on Tuesday, April 14.

The electronic submission will be sent automatically to the receiving school and will include a submission date and time stamp. Applications will be numbered according to date and time received. Requests for students who will have older siblings in the receiving school in September will be given priority for an Out‐of‐Area placement if adequate accommodation is available.
Decisions regarding Out‐of‐Area requests will be communicated by June 23, 2020.

For any families with limited or no access to the Internet, our Parent Navigators can assist with submitting an Out-of-Area request on your behalf after 8:00 am on Tuesday, April 14. Please reach out to one of the Parent Navigators at:
